Senator Ngwu represented Nigeria at the International Parliamentary Union and was recently inaugurated as a member of the ECOWAS Parliament. His active participation in the Senate ensures that the people of Enugu West are adequately represented in the Red Chambers.
A year has passed since the inauguration of the senator representing Enugu West in the 10th Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. On February 25, 2023, the people overwhelmingly elected him to represent them in the Senate, and he was sworn in on June 13, 2023. Since then, he has tirelessly worked to lay a foundation based on the vision of his constituents, aiming to build a brighter future for Enugu West and Nigeria as a whole.
Upon his inauguration, he was appointed Chairman of the Senate Committee on Solid Minerals, Steel Development, and Metallurgy, as well as Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on Drugs and Narcotics. His colleagues further entrusted him with the position of Senate Minority Whip, which he currently holds. He also serves as Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on FCT, after previously holding the position of Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on the Niger Delta Development Commission for a short period.
