Introduction
Senator Osita Ngwu, also known as RG, is a notable engineer, successful entrepreneur, devoted philanthropist, and prominent politician. He is well-known for his dedication to community empowerment, legislative advocacy, and bridging societal gaps.
Education
Osita Ngwu graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering from Enugu State University of Science and Technology in 2001. He further pursued higher education, obtaining an MSc from the Business School at the University of Roehampton, London, in 2016. He is a member of various professional bodies, including the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), the Nigerian Mechanical Engineers Association (NMEA), and the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).
Career
Senator Ngwu’s career began in the oil and gas industry, where he spent 15 years in various engineering roles. He started as a trainee engineer and became an Executive Director, working on significant projects such as the OML Phase 1 – O.U.R 42” X 45Km Gas Pipeline Project and the Shell Petroleum Development Company’s Tank Upgrade projects. In 2016, he transitioned into entrepreneurship, establishing a multi-billion Naira business and employing over 500 workers.
Politics
Senator Ngwu’s political journey began in 2018 when he aimed to represent Udi/Ezeagu in the House of Representatives. Although he stepped down for the incumbent, his dedication to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) remained strong. In 2023, he won the PDP’s Enugu West Senatorial District ticket, aiming to leverage his vast experience for legislative duties that benefit his constituents and the broader Nigerian populace.

Senator Ngwu inaugurated a committee for urgent interventions in cases of unlawful detentions of constituents of Enugu West.
This academy represents a significant step towards revitalizing education. It is distinct by its inclusive approach, offering seven month free JAMB preparatory lessons and Computer-based tests for both Indigenous and non-Indigenous students.
